Our latest release on SDBob Recordings was suggested by a friend of mine, Art Lavigne. Art and his wife Amy live in Hagerstown, Maryland where he is club caller for the “Gad-Abouts”.
Not only did he suggest the song but provided the vocals as well. Art appears courtesy of Gold Rush Records.
“Thank You Very, Very Much” was featured in Scrooge, a 1970 British musical film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ 1843 story “A Christmas Carol”. The song received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. Albert Finney won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy for the film in 1971.
This song is a great dance closer but is strong enough to be used anywhere in a dance. It doesn’t take long for the dancers to be singing along with you.
